My research aims to obtain a mechanistic and quantitative understanding of gene regulation in health and disease. To do so, we are using the lens of single-cell genomics to focus on the fundamental unit of living systems, the cell. We combine the development of novel technologies with large-scale mapping of cell types and states in a variety of human tissues, including the intestine.
